1979 Cubus Diebach
Immediately from this first project,
we note a doubt over the cube.....
a doubt over the UN....
a doubt over the anthropocentric humanism
What do we see....?
A reference to Kahn's sentence:
Purity lies in the incompletion.
An open cube.
An incomplete cube
A cube where one side is not there...
Only a niche remains in front of the Real of the world.
Quite the opposite of Palladio's cube
in the Villa Capra la Rotonda
which opposes the Real
a staggering figure
of the classical order of anthropocentrism.
Into the niche rushes a curved order.
The curve,
unlike the law,
has a derivative.
The curve derives a course...
It derives....
We see it moreover
in accordance with the curved ground
that the incomplete cube cuts
or of which it takes a part in itself.
The curve,
unlike the straight line,
never goes towards itself.
At every point
it goes towards the other.
And the incomplete cube
has in itself this notion
of going towards the other.
The cube takes
in itself.
the anti-cube or the non-ONE
in-finite
coming from the outside
in its depth.
By this already
it assumes the triple
anti- humanist non-opposition:
Non-opposition finite/infinite
Non-opposition inside/outside
Non-opposition face/depth.
